Who is responsible for your information
Manny Moves Driving School is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Questions and privacy requests can be sent to info@mannymoves.co.uk or made by calling 07946 118715.
Information collected
When you enquire or book, the business may receive your name, email address, telephone number, general location, availability, driving experience and the information you include in your message. During lessons, it may also keep booking, payment and progress records. If you agree to a photograph being used, the image may show your face and a certificate with its personal details obscured.
Why the information is used
- To respond to enquiries and take steps towards arranging lessons.
- To manage bookings, payments and lesson records.
- To communicate about lesson changes or relevant service information.
- To publish learner photographs where valid permission has been given.
- To understand website use and enquiry sources when analytics consent has been given.
- To meet legal, accounting and safety obligations.
Legal bases
Enquiry and booking information is used because it is necessary to take steps at your request before entering a contract and to provide lessons under a contract. Records may also be used for legitimate business interests, such as managing the service and handling queries, where those interests do not override your rights. Photographs used for publicity and non-essential analytics are based on consent. Legal records are kept where required by law.
Photographs and certificates
Learner photographs are published only where permission has been obtained. Certificate names, reference numbers and other private details are obscured before publication. You can withdraw permission for future use by contacting the business. A withdrawal does not make earlier lawful use invalid, but the business will remove the image from channels it controls as soon as reasonably practical.
Who information may be shared with
Information may be handled by service providers used for email, website hosting and form delivery, messaging, accounting or analytics. They should receive only what is needed to provide their service. Information may also be disclosed where required by law. Personal information is not sold.
How long information is kept
Enquiries that do not lead to lessons are reviewed and removed when they are no longer needed. Booking, payment and lesson records are kept for as long as necessary to provide the service, answer disputes and meet tax or legal duties. Photographs are kept until permission is withdrawn or the business no longer needs them. Analytics retention is controlled through the analytics provider's settings.
International transfers
Some email, messaging, hosting or analytics providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, the business will rely on the safeguards offered by the provider and required by UK data protection law.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and analytics
Necessary storage remembers your cookie choice. Analytics will run only after you accept analytics cookies. Read the cookie policy or change your choice using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
